Hans-Dieter Schulz-Gebeltzig advised German and international enterprises on questions of real estate law. Among his clients, there were real estate companies, banks and funds. He advised on the disposal and acquisition of large real estate portfolios as well as on questions of tenancy law and construction law. In addition, he practiced as a notary.
Hans-Dieter Schulz-Gebeltzig studied law at the universities of Cologne and Lausanne, as well as at the German University for Administrative Sciences Speyer. He was admitted as a lawyer in 1982, and became a notary in 2009. From 1982 to 2003, he worked as a lawyer at Linklaters LLP (previously Oppenhoff & Rädler and Boden Oppenhoff Rasor Raue respectively), since 1990 as a partner. From 2003 to 2009, he was a partner at Norton Rose LLP. He had been a partner at Atticus Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH since 2012. He died in 2020, we will continue to honour his memory.
Hans-Dieter Schulz-Gebeltzig has inter alia advised Deutsche Land plc on the acquisition of Main Airport Centers, Warburg Henderson on the acquisition of the Gazeley real estate and Lone Star/Hudson Advisors on the disposal of a real estate portfolio. He delivered presentations on legal issues, and is inter alia the (co-)author of the following publications:
